These General Catering Terms and Conditions apply to all catering orders, online orders, quotes, proposals, bookings, deliveries, pickups, staffed events, rentals and related services supplied by Crave Catering.
These Terms must be read together with the applicable quote, proposal, order confirmation, invoice, service schedule and any written changes accepted by Crave.
By approving a quote or proposal, submitting an online order, signing an agreement, paying a deposit or permitting Crave to begin work, the Customer confirms that the Customer has read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
PART I: GENERAL TERMS

In these Terms:
“Accepted Order” means an order, proposal or booking that Crave has accepted in writing.
“Agreement” means the complete agreement described in Section 39.

“Terms” means these General Catering Terms and Conditions, including all applicable schedules and appendices.
2. APPLICATION OF THESE TERMS
These Terms apply to all Services supplied by Crave unless Crave expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Certain Services are also governed by the applicable schedules attached to these Terms:
- Schedule 1: Online Ordering
- Schedule 2: Delivery and Customer Pickup
- Schedule 3: Staffed Events
- Schedule 4: Bar and Beverage Service
- Schedule 5: Rentals and Reusable Equipment
- Appendix A: Reusable Equipment Replacement Schedule
A schedule applies only where the relevant Service is included in the Accepted Order.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a Service Document, the Service Document governs the specific commercial details of the Accepted Order, including menu items, quantities, pricing, dates, staffing and payment deadlines. These Terms govern all general conditions.
3. CUSTOMER AUTHORITY
The person approving the order represents and confirms that they:
- Have authority to enter into the Agreement.
- Have authority to bind any business, organization or other Customer named in the Service Documents.
- Are authorized to use the selected payment method.
- Have provided complete and accurate information.
- Have reviewed the Service Documents and these Terms.
Where more than one person or organization is identified as the Customer, each is jointly and individually responsible for the Customer’s obligations.
4. QUOTES AND PROPOSALS
A quote or proposal is an invitation to the Customer to book the stated Services. It is not a binding commitment by Crave until accepted in writing by Crave.
Unless otherwise stated, a quote or proposal:
- Is based on the information available when it was prepared.
- Is subject to availability.
- May expire on the date shown in the quote or proposal.
- May be revised if the Event details change.
- Does not reserve the Event Date until the required acceptance and payment have been received.
Crave may withdraw or revise a quote before acceptance where there has been:
- A pricing or calculation error.
- A material change in ingredient or supplier costs.
- A change in the requested Services.
- A change in availability or capacity.
- A change in applicable taxes, fees or third-party costs.
5. ACCEPTANCE AND CONFIRMATION
An order becomes binding only when:
- The Customer has accepted the applicable Service Documents and these Terms.
- Any required deposit or payment has been received or authorized.
- Crave has reviewed and accepted the order.
- Crave has issued written confirmation.
A payment receipt, submitted inquiry or automated system message does not, by itself, constitute acceptance by Crave.
Crave may request additional information, corrections, substitutions, revised timing, additional staffing or additional charges before accepting an order.
6. SERVICES AND MENU SELECTIONS
Crave will supply the Services identified in the Accepted Order.
Items, quantities, dietary selections, staffing, rentals and services not included in the Accepted Order are not included unless subsequently approved by Crave in writing.
Photographs and illustrations are representative only. Actual presentation, garnishes, containers, portion appearance and ingredients may vary.
Portion and serving estimates are approximate and may vary depending on:
- Guest appetites.
- Event duration.
- Service style.
- Other food being served.
- Menu composition.
- Customer service practices.
The Customer is responsible for determining whether the ordered quantities are appropriate for the Event.

- Staffing requirements.
- Customization.
- Production requirements.
Crave may decline or revise an order that does not meet the applicable minimums.

The Customer is responsible for all applicable:
- Food and beverage charges.
- Delivery and pickup fees.
- Staffing charges.
- Rental charges.
- Setup and teardown charges.
- Parking, ferry, toll and access costs.
- Service charges or gratuities identified in the Service Documents.

- Third-party charges.
- Approved additions or changes.
- Loss, damage and replacement charges.
Prices may be revised before acceptance.
After acceptance, prices may be revised where:
- The Customer requests a change.
- The Customer provides inaccurate or incomplete information.
- The guest count, location, timing or service requirements change.
- Additional staffing or equipment becomes reasonably necessary.
- A third-party supplier changes its charges.
- An obvious pricing or calculation error is identified.
No material price revision will apply without notice to the Customer.
9. TAXES
Applicable taxes will be added to the order as required by law.
Taxes are calculated based on the nature of the Services and charges supplied.
A tax exemption will be applied only where the Customer provides valid supporting documentation acceptable to Crave.
10. DEPOSITS
A deposit may be required to reserve an Event Date, secure products, retain staff or order third-party rentals.
The applicable deposit amount and due date will be identified in the Service Documents.
A deposit:
- Is applied toward the final order balance.
- Does not guarantee services beyond those identified in the Accepted Order.
- Is subject to the cancellation provisions of these Terms.
- May be retained to cover costs, commitments and reserved capacity where an order is cancelled.
Crave is not required to reserve the Event Date until the required deposit has been received.
11. PAYMENT
The Customer must pay all amounts by the deadlines stated in the Service Documents.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Crave may require full payment before delivery, pickup or commencement of the Event.
Crave may suspend or refuse Services if payment is not received when due.
The Customer remains responsible for all approved charges incurred after the original invoice, including:
- Guest-count increases.
- Additional menu items.
- Additional staffing time.
- Overtime.
- Parking or access costs.
- Rental additions.
- Equipment loss or damage.
- Other approved changes.
Payments may be made using the methods approved by Crave.
Any credit-card or payment-processing fee will be disclosed before the applicable payment is completed.
12. OVERDUE AMOUNTS
An invoice is due on the date stated on the invoice.
Where an amount remains unpaid, Crave may:
- Suspend or cancel Services.
- Withhold further bookings.
- Require payment by certified funds.
- Recover reasonable collection costs.
- Pursue any other remedy available under the Agreement or applicable law.
The Customer may not withhold an undisputed payment because of a dispute involving another order or charge.
13. CUSTOMER INFORMATION
The Customer must provide complete and accurate information, including:
- Customer name and contact information.
- Billing information.
- Event Date and timing.

- Venue access requirements.
- Guest count.
- Menu selections.
- Dietary requirements.
- Staffing requirements.

- Loading and parking details.
- Onsite contact details.
Crave may rely on information supplied by the Customer.
Crave is not responsible for an error, delay, failed delivery or additional cost resulting from incorrect, incomplete or late information.
14. CUSTOMER-REQUESTED CHANGES
All change requests must be submitted in writing.
A change is not approved unless Crave confirms it in writing.
Changes remain subject to:
- Applicable ordering deadlines.
- Ingredient availability.
- Production capacity.
- Staffing availability.
- Delivery capacity.
- Rental availability.
- Additional charges.
- Revised pricing.
- Third-party commitments.
Crave is under no obligation to accept a change after an order has been confirmed.
A reduction in quantities, removal of items, reduction in staffing or change of Event Date may be treated as a partial cancellation.
15. FINAL MENU AND EVENT DETAILS
The Customer must finalize all menu selections, dietary information, guest counts, delivery details, staffing requirements and Event instructions by the deadline stated in the Service Documents.
Where no deadline is stated, Crave may require final details at least five business days before the Event Date.
Certain Services, large orders, specialty items, holidays, weddings and staffed Events may require longer deadlines.
Late information or changes may be:
- Declined.
- Subject to availability.
- Subject to a rush fee.
- Subject to additional staffing, production or delivery charges.
16. FINAL GUEST COUNT
The Final Guest Count must be provided by the deadline stated in the Service Documents.
Once the Final Guest Count has been accepted:
- It may not be reduced for pricing purposes.
- Increases remain subject to availability.
- Crave may require additional food, staff, equipment or charges.
- Crave is not responsible for shortages caused by attendance exceeding the Final Guest Count.
Where the Customer does not provide a Final Guest Count by the applicable deadline, Crave may prepare and invoice based on the highest confirmed or reasonably anticipated guest count.
17. CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS
Unless a different cancellation policy is stated in the Service Documents or an applicable schedule, the following terms apply.
All cancellation requests must:
- Be submitted in writing.
- Include the order number or Event details.
- Be acknowledged by Crave.
A cancellation is not effective until received by Crave.
More Than Seven Calendar Days Before the Event
Crave may refund amounts paid, less:
- Non-refundable payment-processing fees.
- Ingredients and supplies already purchased.
- Administrative and planning work completed.
- Non-refundable third-party charges.
- Custom products or materials.
- Other committed costs.
Between Three and Seven Calendar Days Before the Event
The Customer remains responsible for:
- 50% of the total order value.
- All non-refundable third-party costs.
- Ingredients, supplies and custom materials already purchased.
- Any additional committed costs exceeding the retained amount.
Any refund will be limited to the balance remaining after these amounts are deducted.
Less Than Three Calendar Days Before the Event
The order is non-refundable.
The Customer remains responsible for:
- The full order value.
- Approved additions.
- Non-cancellable third-party costs.
- Other charges already incurred for the Event.
Cancellation of the underlying Event, reduced attendance, venue changes, scheduling conflicts, weather concerns or Customer circumstances do not automatically entitle the Customer to a refund.
Any exception must be approved by Crave in writing. An exception in one instance does not create a precedent or obligation in another instance.
Nothing in this Section limits a legal cancellation right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
18. RESCHEDULING
A request to change the Event Date may be treated as a cancellation of the original Event Date and a request for a new booking.
Rescheduling is subject to:
- Availability.
- Applicable lead times.
- Production capacity.
- Staffing availability.
- Ingredient availability.
- Rental availability.
- Revised pricing.
- Costs already incurred.
- Third-party cancellation or change fees.
Payments are not automatically transferable to a new Event Date.
Where Crave approves a transfer, Crave may deduct costs incurred for the original Event Date and require additional payment.
A rescheduling request is not approved until confirmed by Crave in writing.
19. CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION BY CRAVE
Crave may reject, cancel, suspend or modify Services where reasonably necessary because of:
- Product or ingredient unavailability.
- Supplier failure.

- Severe weather.
- Transportation interruption.
- Utility failure.
- Public-health requirements.
- Government action.
- Suspected fraud.
- Unauthorized payment.
- Customer breach.
- Circumstances outside Crave’s reasonable control.
Where Crave cancels Services and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, Crave will refund the amount paid for the affected Services.
Except where liability cannot lawfully be limited, Crave’s liability for the cancellation is limited to the applicable refund.
20. MENU AND INGREDIENT SUBSTITUTIONS
Crave will make reasonable efforts to supply the confirmed menu.
Substitutions may be necessary because of:
- Seasonal availability.
- Supplier shortages.
- Quality concerns.
- Product discontinuation.
- Market availability.
- Circumstances outside Crave’s reasonable control.
Crave may substitute an item or ingredient of reasonably comparable quality and value without advance notice where the substitution does not materially alter the menu item or identified dietary classification.
Crave will make reasonable efforts to obtain approval before making a material substitution.
If a material substitution cannot be agreed upon, Crave may remove and refund the affected item.
21. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES
The Customer is responsible for obtaining and supplying complete dietary and allergy information.
Crave will make reasonable efforts to accommodate accepted dietary requests.
The Customer acknowledges that:
- Crave operates commercial kitchens that handle common allergens.
- Shared equipment, utensils, storage and preparation areas may be used.
- Cross-contact may occur.
- Supplier formulations may change.
- Crave cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free product or facility.
Terms such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free or halal-friendly describe intended ingredients or preparation practices and do not constitute a guarantee against cross-contact.
Crave does not operate a certified kosher kitchen unless expressly stated otherwise.
The Customer must contact Crave directly before ordering for a person with a severe or life-threatening allergy.
Comment fields, order notes or third-party ordering platforms must not be relied upon as the sole method of communicating a serious allergy.
Crave may decline a request that cannot, in Crave’s reasonable judgment, be safely or reliably accommodated.
22. CUSTOMER-PROVIDED FOOD, BEVERAGES AND EQUIPMENT
Crave is not responsible for food, beverages, equipment or supplies provided by the Customer, venue or another supplier.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that Customer-provided items are:
- Safe.
- Legal.
- Suitable for the Event.
- Properly stored.
- Available at the required time.
- Compatible with Crave’s Services.
Crave may refuse to handle or serve an item that appears unsafe, unsuitable or inconsistent with venue rules.
Crave is not responsible for loss, spoilage, damage or injury caused by Customer-provided items except to the extent directly caused by Crave’s negligence.
23. VENUE ACCESS AND REQUIREMENTS
The Customer is responsible for confirming that the venue:
- Permits the Services.
- Permits cooking, heating and electrical equipment where applicable.

- Provides timely access.
- Provides adequate elevators, doors and pathways.
- Provides safe electrical service.
- Provides potable water and waste disposal where required.

The Customer must disclose all venue restrictions before acceptance of the order.
Additional labour, parking, delivery, waiting, setup or equipment charges may apply where venue conditions differ from the information provided.
24. SETUP AND TEARDOWN
Setup and teardown are included only where expressly stated in the Service Documents.
The Customer must provide sufficient access and time for setup and teardown.
Crave is not responsible for incomplete setup resulting from:
- Late venue access.
- Venue restrictions.
- Customer delays.
- Incomplete instructions.
- Unsafe conditions.
- Interference by other suppliers.
- Insufficient setup time.

- At the end of Crave’s staffed service period for staffed Events.
The Customer is responsible for:
- Maintaining safe hot and cold holding temperatures.
- Following storage and reheating instructions.
- Protecting food from contamination.
- Serving food within an appropriate period.
- Discarding food held at unsafe temperatures.
Crave is not responsible for deterioration, contamination, illness or food-safety concerns caused by transportation, storage, reheating, handling or service after responsibility has passed to the Customer.
26. LEFTOVER FOOD
Where permitted, the Customer may retain leftover food at the Customer’s own risk.
Crave may decline to release food that has been held, displayed or handled in a manner that may create a food-safety concern.
The Customer assumes responsibility for the storage, transportation, reheating and consumption of released leftovers.
27. INSPECTION AND ORDER CONCERNS
The Customer should inspect the order promptly and notify Crave as soon as reasonably possible of:
- Missing products.
- Incorrect products.
- Material quantity errors.
- Visible damage.
- Food-quality concerns.
- Equipment shortages.
Prompt notice allows Crave to investigate and, where appropriate, provide a replacement, correction, credit or refund.
The Customer should retain photographs, packaging and affected products where safe and practical.
A product believed to be unsafe must not be consumed.
Perishable food is not returnable because of a change in preference, guest count or Event plans.
28. THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS
Crave may engage third-party suppliers, rental companies, delivery providers, staffing agencies or other contractors.
Where a third party supplies part of the Services:
- The third party’s applicable terms may apply.
- The Customer is responsible for approved third-party charges.
- Crave may pass through cancellation, replacement, cleaning, delivery and other supplier charges.
- Crave is not responsible for a third party’s acts or omissions except to the extent Crave is legally responsible.
29. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND PROMOTIONAL USE
Crave may photograph or record the food, beverages, equipment, presentation, décor, service stations, table settings, venue spaces, setup process and other non-identifiable details associated with the Services.
Crave may use, reproduce, edit, crop, publish, distribute and display those photographs or recordings for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Crave’s websites.

- Advertising and promotional materials.
- Digital and printed menus.
- Quotes, proposals and sales presentations.

- Floral arrangements and décor as part of the overall Event setup.
- Behind-the-scenes preparation, delivery and setup.
- Crave signage, menus and branded materials.
- Close-up details that do not identify an individual or reveal private information.
Crave will not intentionally photograph or publish an image or recording in which a guest, Customer representative, venue employee or other individual is recognizable as the primary subject without obtaining appropriate consent.
Crave will make reasonable efforts not to photograph, record or publish:
- Recognizable guests or Event attendees.
- Identifiable minors.
- Guest lists, seating plans, name cards or place cards containing names.
- Private documents, paperwork or computer screens.
- Payment information or personal contact information.
- Identification badges.
- Passwords, access codes or security information.
- Confidential corporate or Event information.
- Private residential details that could reasonably identify the property or its occupants.
- Other personal information unrelated to the Services.
The incidental appearance of an individual in the distant background of a wider photograph or recording will not constitute a breach of this Section where the person is not reasonably identifiable.
Crave may crop, blur, mask or otherwise edit an image or recording to remove or obscure identifying information.
Crave will not identify the Customer, disclose the private Event location or use the Customer’s name, logo or trademark in a manner that reasonably suggests an endorsement or formal partnership without the Customer’s prior permission.
Where the Event is held at a publicly identifiable commercial venue, Crave may identify or tag the venue only where doing so is permitted by the venue and does not disclose confidential information about the Customer or Event.
The Customer must notify Crave in writing before the Event if:
- The venue prohibits or restricts photography or recording.
- The Event is confidential or subject to media restrictions.
- The Event involves confidential products, presentations or materials.
- The Customer requires Crave not to photograph or record the Event setup.
The Customer is responsible for communicating any venue, employer, security or confidentiality restrictions to Crave before the Services begin.
Unless the Customer provides written notice of a restriction before the Event, the Customer authorizes Crave to take and use non-identifiable photographs and recordings in accordance with this Section.
A later request to remove an image will not require Crave to recall, destroy or replace printed materials or content already distributed. Crave will, however, consider reasonable requests concerning future digital use.
Photographs and recordings created by Crave employees in the course of their work are owned by Crave to the extent permitted by law.
Where Crave engages an independent photographer or videographer, Crave’s right to use the resulting content is subject to the ownership or licence rights granted by that photographer or videographer.
Nothing in this Section authorizes Crave to reproduce another person’s protected artwork, photography, branding or creative work as the principal subject of promotional content without any permission required by law.
30. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Crave retains ownership of its:
- Menus.
- Recipes.
- Photographs and recordings created or owned by Crave.
- Designs.
- Proposal formats.

Notices to the Customer may be sent to the email address or other contact information provided by the Customer.
37. NO WAIVER
A failure or delay by Crave in exercising a right does not waive that right.
A waiver is effective only if confirmed in writing and applies only to the specific circumstances for which it was given.
38. SEVERABILITY
If any provision is found invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions continue in effect.

An automated receipt or checkout acknowledgment does not constitute acceptance.
4. Online Lead Times
Unless a longer lead time is displayed, online orders must be submitted at least 48 hours before delivery or pickup.
Certain items, quantities, dates and locations require longer notice.
Where products in the same order have different lead times, the longest applicable lead time governs the entire order.
A Portal error that permits a late order does not require Crave to accept it.
Meeting a displayed lead time does not guarantee availability.
5. Online Order Changes
Online orders cannot be automatically amended after submission.
Change requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to availability, applicable lead times, revised pricing and written approval.
6. Online Order Cancellations
Accepted online orders are final and have no automatic cancellation or refund entitlement except where required by law.
A cancellation request must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by Crave.
More Than 72 Hours Before Delivery or Pickup
Crave may approve a refund, partial refund or account credit after deducting costs and commitments already incurred.
Between 48 and 72 Hours Before Delivery or Pickup
Any approved refund will not exceed 50% of the amount paid.
A 50% refund is not guaranteed.
Less Than 48 Hours Before Delivery or Pickup
The order is non-refundable.
For certainty, Crave reserves the right to provide no refund, credit, transfer or rescheduling accommodation for an order cancelled within 24 hours.
7. Portal Errors
Crave may correct typographical, technical, pricing, calculation or availability errors.
A Portal malfunction does not require Crave to fulfil an order that cannot reasonably be supplied.
8. Online Contract Copy
The Portal will provide the Customer an opportunity to review the order, correct errors and accept or decline the applicable terms.
Crave will provide an electronic copy of the Accepted Order and applicable Terms using the email address supplied by the Customer.
